Roy Keane Construction - Ratings

Unfortunately I couldnt recommend Roy Keane Construction, Roy has repeatedly let us down and failed to return to finish the job. It has just been one excuse after the other. The job started on the 30 th of January with a time frame of 6 - 8 weeks fast forward 8+ months to now and the job is still not finished. After 7 weeks and after being paid with the job running weeks behind Roy walked out on us. This whole experience has been nothing but a source of stress and hardship to which We have been left in an awful position now to some how try to complete the job. My last interaction this week was asking for Roy to attend to a leak in the roof he installed, leak first reported to him way back in the middle of May and I will now have to try and pay someone else to come and fix it as Roy as always has a convenient excuse as to why he cant, this is just one example of many scinarios I could post to back up my reasoning for being unable to recommend this Company.

Roy walked out on our job as soon as he was paid. He has given excuses as to why he can't complete the job and has both verbally and in writing said he will pay us back for the works not completed but is refusing to start a payment plan and making excuses as to why he can't work or pay us back. Approx 50% of the job was left undone or incomplete or done to a poor standard. Less than 20% of plumbing completed. Of this he put pipes down through the sitting room and dining room in the actual room and not hidden in walls. Wood burning stove not installed or started. Garage conversion not started. Insulation not completed. Wooden floor not installed. Roof he installed leaking, needed urgent repair. Incorrect window sizes ordered. Incorrect front door ordered (opened the wrong way) and panel for above front door double the size required. Told us he had reordered these but did not. We had to order and pay for replacements. Attic not insulated or floored. Combi boiler not installed. Bathroom suite was to be taken out so the bathroom could be replastered and insulated. Same not started. No toilet installed downstairs. Extension was not rendered. No steps to get out to the back garden leaving a drop of approximately 1m. Electric work not completed. We have had to take out a significant loan to continue works on our house. The job was due to be completed by the first week in July and we are still unable to move in due to the level of work he left undone. Even when Roy was on site he would disappear for hours at a time. In 12 weeks he may have turned up at 8 (agreed start time) less than 5 times? He also told me he had no insurance (confirmed in writing) even though I asked him about this and he told me he had insurance. We asked him to take unprotected scaffolding down but never did. Despite his contract stating mediation was an option he refused to engage in mediation. Review would be longer only out of characters.

Roy and his brother fitted my kitchen . I was very happy with their skills . Tidy workers who knew their trade .

Roy completed installation of down stairs WC and sink and floor tiling at a reasonable price. The job was completed in time. Roy kept things tidy and clean throughout and was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend using his services .

i choose Roy Keane Construction i got three Quotes and choose roy as he responded same day his qoute was very reasonable he was very friendly he came when agreed and his work was to a very high standard.i would definelty recommend .thanks Roy.

Roy was very helpful from start to finish, the job was kept tidy and when i changed my mind half way through Roy was brilliant. Ive already recommended him to my friends and family and we will be using his company again A++++

Roy helped me out of a bind with a tricky integrated dishwasher installation. He arrived when he said he would and he did a great job. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

We hired Roy to remove an internal door and fill in / plaster the gap. Roy arrived on time and did a perfect job, we are delighted with the quality and speed of his work. Would be happy to recommend Everlasting Property Services.

I was disappointed with my initial contact with Roy but in fairness to him he did contact me and arrived on time as agreed to complete the job to a good standard. I would recommend him, he’s a pleasant guy so given his return and willingness to get the job right, which he did, I have revised an earlier rating to fully reflect my satisfaction.

Responded promptly to advert. Came to view the job on time on the agreed date. Quoted the same day. Showed up on the agreed date and completed the job to a high standard :-)
